Ryota Kuwakubo(b. 1971, Japan) received BFA in contemporary art from the University of Tsukuba and he is a professor at IAMAS currently. He began producing works using electricity from 1998, and crossed different areas from electronic devices to interactive installations. He made close-up of events occurring at various boundaries between digital and analog, humans and machines, senders and receivers of information Through these activities, he created his own style called 'Device Art’. Her works are held at major art museums and art festivals, including The State Hermitage Museum, and the Ars Electronica Festival in Austria. He is focused on creating works that allow viewers to pour out their inner experiences.
